Doug Tweedie started the company in 1977 which makes Tweedie & Storter the oldest rep group in Alaska. The group represents over 40 different lines with close to a bazillion SKUs which also makes them the largest rep group in Alaska. Read below to find out what makes each of them so special.
Terri started working for Doug Tweedie in 1989 as a sales rep. After her first month, she knew she had found her passion! Since then she has worked to make it the largest rep group in Alaska. Doug, her boss, and mentor, is now happily retired in Oregon and Terri has taken the reins as owner and president.
The company still lives by the motto Doug taught Terri early on: “We are not here for the home run; we are here for the long run”. This comes from knowing the Alaska market and working with their retailers to help their sales grow and by providing customer service every step of the way. Helping manufacturers create products specifically for Alaska is Terri's specialty.
Terri’s greatest achievement in life is her marriage to Jamie and her sons, Johnathon and Jason. If you're trying to find her when she's not working, she's probably with her family, which has grown to include 4 grandsons and 2 daughters-in-law, at the church, and always with her 2 fur babies Louie & Coco.
One perk of working with Terri is you will be smothered in her Southern Hospitality like gravy on chicken fried steak!
Mariah joined the family business in 2017. She is Terri’s daughter-in-law and Jason’s wife. Just like the mafia, they’ve pulled her in and the only way out is…
Previously she was a salesperson in the world of wine and spirits, and before that, she managed restaurants. She believes strongly in representing quality products from good companies, run by great people.
Kat came to Tweedie and Storter in 2007. She has 22 years of experience in the industry.
Kat is our jack of all trades. If need something, she is the one to contact. When she is not Terri's right had woman, she excels at customer service and IT.
